Drahé kolegyně, drazí kolegové,
dovolte, abychom vás pozvali na mezinárodní archeologickou konferenci "Europe Old and New (The cultural changes at the break of the Eneolithic and Bronze Age in Central and Eastern Europe)", kterou pořádáme ve spolupráci s Opavskou kulturní organizací a Muzeul Judetean Botosani.
Konference zahájí cyklus podzimních odborných setkání, které pořádáme v rámci 210. výročí Slezského zemského muzea a 800. výročí města Opavy.
Tématem konference, jak už název napovídá, je přechod mezi eneolitem a starší dobou bronzovou ve střední a východní Evropě. Především specifika tohoto období, šíření nových způsobů života a kulturních fenoménů a jejich archeologické projevy. Vítány jsou příspěvky prezentující výsledky dlouhodobých projektů i výsledky terénních výzkumů. Na konferenci mohou být prezentovány jak příspěvky čistě archeologické, tak interdisciplinární.

Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to the conference "Europe Old and New, The cultural changes at thebreak of the Eneolithic and Bronze Age in Central and Eastern Europe". The conference is organized by the Silesian Museum in Opava, together with the County Museum in Botoșani(Romania) and the Opava Cultural Organisation (OKO). As the title suggests, all papers related to the end of the Eneolithic and the beginning of the Bronze Age are welcome. In particular, the topic of cultural changes associated with the penetration of eastern elements into the area of Central Europe, traditionally associated with the Corded Ware culture, Pit Grave (Yamnaya) culture, Globular Amphora culture, etc. Our conference is intended to provide a broad platformfor discussion for both researchers who are working on the topic as part of long-term projects, and for those who have encountered or are encountering the issue in the field. We welcome both purely archaeological and interdisciplinary papers.
